Lane County Courts With Dockets
The local docket structure is simpler than in counties with several separate trial courts. Lane County's primary trial court is the District Court at 144 S. Lane in Dighton. The county site lists Thomas J. Bennett as District Magistrate Judge, Bruce T. Gatterman as Chief Judge, and Marlene "Charlie" Rupp as District Court Clerk. Read Lane County Docket Results
Read docket results in order. Start with the filing date and case type, then move through the entries to see what happened most recently. In a criminal docket, charges may appear early, but a later entry can show amendment, dismissal, plea, diversion, conviction, acquittal, sentencing, costs, or probation terms. In a civil docket, a later judgment, satisfaction, garnishment, or dismissal may change the meaning of an earlier petition or motion.
Hearing dates can change. A continuance entry means the court moved the setting. A failure-to-appear entry in a criminal or traffic case may lead to a bench warrant or license consequences where Kansas law permits. If a person is using the docket to decide whether to appear in court, pay a ticket, or respond to a motion, the safest local step is to call the Clerk of the District Court and verify the current setting.
